A man is due to appear before Poole Magistrates Court today charged in connection with three reported robberies in Christchurch.
It’s reported that a man armed with a gun entered the Co-op Food store in Fairmile Road, Christchurch on 18 March and stole items of food before getting into a white Ford Fiesta and driving to Fairmile Service Station next door. The man allegedly got out of the Fiesta and walked into the petrol station shop with a gun, selected wine and cigarettes and left without paying. No one was physically injured at the Co-op or at the petrol station shop. A short time later it is reported that a man entered Fairmile Convenience Store on Fairmile Road and stole food and cigarettes. It’s alleged a man and a woman were assaulted. As the man got back into the Fiesta and drove away, the car is reported to have been in collision with another vehicle.
On 20 March, a 23-year-old man from London was charged with robbery, assault, possession of a firearm without a certificate, theft and possession of cannabis. He is due to appear in court today (21 March).
