Dorset golf club Remedy Oak, at Woodlands will be hosting the Regional Qualifier for the 2014 Open Championship on Monday 23 June 2014. This follows on from last year’s successful event and is the second of a five year term where Remedy Oak will host the Regional Qualifiers from 2013 to 2018.
Nigel Tokely, Director of Golf at Remedy Oak said: “Last year was our first year of hosting the Regional Qualifier and it was a very successful and well supported day, with some excellent golf watched by several hundred spectators. We’re looking forward to this year’s event too.”
Luke Joy, winner of the 2013 Regional Qualifier at Remedy Oak added: “Remedy Oak is a perfect course in this area to host the Regional Qualifier. Not only is it long, with large challenging greens, but it’s also a test that examines every part of your game, as you need to work the ball in both directions to score well. I’m really looking forward to going back there.”
The course is set out over 256 acres of ancient woodland.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch on 23 June at no charge, but need to register in advance by email at email@example.com or phone on 01202 812070.
